Do today what others won’t, so tomorrow you can do what others can’t.
A real leader faces the music, even when they don’t like the tune.
Big jobs go to people who prove their ability to outgrow small jobs.
A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it.
Most people who fail in their dream fail not from lack of ability but lack of commitment.
The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.
Let me be emphatically clear there will be some businesses going into receivership and others who will be in serious financial trouble this year; their excuse will be recession.
The sub-prime housing market in the USA has of course had massive ramifications in the financial industry, but come on let’s get some realism here, the economies of China, India, Russia, Poland, Belarus, Romania etc. are still growing and in some cases booming.
In the UK we are experiencing a re-infection of the British disease that has been lying dormant within the British press for a number of years now. As we all know they are the carriers and most of the time this disease is contained in the press in it’s dormant state. British business and commerce has for the past few years been inoculated against an epidemic, but there are signs that some companies are showing symptoms. The first signs of this British disease, uniquely common to the UK, is negative thinking. Now we have to be absolutely realistic here, companies do not show these symptoms, it is the people within the company. Here lies the warning, the companies and businesses most likely to get infected and suffer recession syndrome will be those who stop investing in their people. What I mean by this is the leaders who must lead by example with a powerful dose of positive thinking and some realistic plans and activity. They must also invest in their people by upskilling and learning new techniques and of course they must inspire and motivate their people.
This recession syndrome is highly infections. Be careful business leaders who you mix with. Be careful that your people are also not starting to use a lack of product and performance as a recessional excuse. If you seriously do not want your company to suffer recession syndrome in the next 2-3 months inoculate urgently, and you know what I am going to say now – we have the most powerful vaccine that works immediately and is fully guaranteed.
Those who complain how the ball bounces are often the ones who dropped it.
If you don’t set goals, you can’t regret not reaching them.
Growth means change and change involves risk, stepping from the know to the unknown.
