    21. Roy Seaman Says:

      Dear Richard

This week we can report that there is an ever growing number of organisations as well as individuals looking to either Franchise their business or own a Franchise. We have just participated in The Franchise Show and had over 50 companies talk very seriously to us about alternative marketing strategies, and Franchise Development is very high on their list. Simultaneously we were inundated with people looking to own and operate a Franchise rather than moan and grown about the fact that they have just been or will soon be made redundant.

There is always one sector that does very well in times like these and Franchising is likely to become the safest route for both the new Franchisor as well as new Franchise Owners to succeed.

      Kindest regards

It’s great to see a bit of the Blitz spirit from one of our clients. Despite the downturn, recession or whatever you want to call it, Strutt & Parker, estate agents (a sector that’s been hit particularly hard) are not taking things lying down. Oh no! We’ve been producing a whole raft of recession-fighting ads for them. Good fun too.

    25. Robert Weeks Says:

Feb 09 – Trovus in the last 3 months have increase the number of companies using our software by a factor of 3 from 100 to 400 companies using it. The message I take is that if you are providing a product or service that genuinely helps to add value, it doesnt matter what the economy is doing,

    27. Steve Walsh Says:

Whilst most people I talk to seem to be in the depts of depression and all seem to becoming merchants of doom and despondency, our story seems to be bucking the trend!!

The recession has been great for us at Eze-talk, we are taking on 100 new business customers and over 500 residential customers per WEEK, as we are able to save businesses around 50% on their line rental plus super low call rates. With residential customers we offer low cost packages and to all customers 8mb to 24mb Broadband from just £6.99 per month.

So when discussing the current UK bleak situation, I also feel guilty that we are certainly benefiting from the present gloom.

    28. Fiona Toms Says:

I was made redundant from the world’s largest bank in November, and spent a couple of months thinking about not only what I did want to do next, but as importantly, what I didn’t want! Now, 3 months on, I have my own consultancy business and have found myself in demand from a number of organisations – the shop is definitely open for business!
