Recession - To Have or Not to Have?
The British Media appears to be on one of their favourite rides; this is “The Impending Recession Ride”.
This ride is not a roller coaster as it only goes one way and the gradient of fall changes or is dependent as to how much speed can be generated at the beginning.
During the last eight or so years some economists, pundits, and city fortune tellers have attempted to give it a push but it has remained firmly stuck, so they crawled back into their despondency nests
Well, in the last two months of 2007 the despondency birds have had a massive feed of sub-prime loans. This has given them new vigour and they are out of their nests, and with their increased strength the impending recession ride is off and running.
Well I for one am determined to stop it gathering momentum with my business, my clients and all the company’s our group is associated with. Britain can and will talk itself into recession and the solution of prevention is
1. A really positive attitude
2. Play to win and stop playing not to lose
3. Stick to your goals and go for them
4. Manage your debtors better and get paid a little quicker
5. Invest in your people, train them and skill them
6. Motivate your people and reward and recognise performance, achievements and results.
7. Demonstrate some leadership
8. All executives and managers to lead by example, get out and go for it.
9. Let’s have some nice smiling and happy faces please
10. Recession – what recession?

Well said!
We’ll be rooting for “no recession” over here
Thanks for the list.
