Description
Our client is a pioneering wind energy developer, responsible for ground breaking achievements in the UK wind industry and we are on their behalf recruiting for a Trade Control Manager to oversee the trading activities of their fast growing power and green certificates portfolio. The successful candidate will need to evolve and implement the risk management strategy and trading book structure and be required to fulfill responsibilities which are often reserved for a Trading Manager in larger companies such as looking for new routes to market and optimising profitability.

Core Responsibilities:
- Developing hedging and delivery strategies to manage the company's market risk exposure to energy commodities markets in conjunction with Head of Commercial Management and Head of Finance.
- Setting and monitoring the compliance of trading limits.
- Establishing new Grid Trade Master Agreements with third parties.
- Redesigning the reporting of Commercial Key Performance Indicators
- Designing and implementing a Credit Risk Management Strategy
- Developing the Trade Control of Green Certificates.
- Establishing stronger links with processes in the Finance Dept (unified credit risk, developing methods to reconcile various trading costs and revenues).
- Ensuring demand and generation forecasting methods produce accurate predictions for trading the portfolio.

Skill Set Required:
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Specific Knowledge Required:
- Market risk exposure management.
- Derivatives and physical energy commodities pricing and trading.
- Electricity Industry and Green Certificates.

Educational Requirements:
Educated to degree level in a mathematical, scientific, financial or technical discipline.

In return the position offers a base salary from £40,000-£60,000pa
