IT Contract Manager - £35k - £40kpa + 10% Bonus – Worcestershire

Our client is one of the ‘big 6’ energy suppliers in the UK and we are recruiting on their behalf for the position of an IT Contracts Manager.

Job Title – IT Contract Manager
Salary – 35k – 40kpa

Location – Worcester, Worcestershire

The successful IT Contracts Manager will provide contract management and procurement support to IT programmes, which will entail downstream management of vendors and the management of core implementation partners etc.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Proactively managing strategic IT vendors by building and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
•Preparation and understanding of high value proposals including complex pricing structures and risk and reward models
•Devising commercial strategies, which will deliver leading edge solutions.
•Preparing commercial Service Level Agreements for use in Framework Agreements to establish a high quality of service and to ensure that prevailing market pricing continues through the life of the framework agreement to be offered competitively.
•Developing and applying ‘best practice’ procurement solutions, working in partnership with suppliers and customers, to deliver significant cost reduction and/or service improvement opportunities.

Skills required:
•A graduate with preferably a minimum of 10 years purchasing experience and Corporate membership of CIPS (MCIPS).
•Experience as an IT procurement or category manager. Direct experience of working with major IT companies as a Relationship/contract manager.
•The person will have operated successfully at a Senior Buyer level in a large, multi-business organisation(s) and managed significant purchasing portfolios which will have included both IT and consultancy services.
•Demonstrable ability to achieve superior results from leading project commercials and contract governance.
