Description

Our energy client is one of the 'big 6' energy suppliers and has recently been named as a 'Top 50 Company to Work For'. They are a leading wind and hydro developer and operator and we are recruiting on their behalf for an Analyst working within the company’s renewable energy sector. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and growing industry.

The key elements of the job are modelling the renewables market, with particular focus on grid access and relevant training will be given where appropriate. The job will also involve monitoring competitor activity, supporting colleagues who develop strategies for marketing to other companies in the energy industry, trade associations and government. A structured training programme will enable you to gain experience in other aspects of the renewable energy business.

You will need excellent numeracy skills as a pre-requisite which may be demonstrated by a good Maths ‘A’ level.
An understanding of the workings of the renewables and / or power market would be useful but is not essential as our client is willing to consider candidates currently out of industry.
You will be asked to provide evidence of a good level of commercial awareness.
