Account Manager – Field Based

Our client is one of the 'big 6' energy suppliers and has recently been named as a 'Top 50 Company to Work For' and we are on their behalf recruiting for a field based Sales Account Manager, to drive delivery of agreed targets initially in Power, Gas and Energy related products sales to customers who value a direct relationship, and where mutually profitable opportunities exist.

The Middle Market Segment is a critical area for business development to our client.. In 2008 they will look to increase their penetration within this market area and, in order to fully exploit all opportunities, they are looking to recruit appropriately qualified individuals to augment the already highly achieving externally-based Sales Team.

Successful applicants should be outgoing, confident & presentable with the ability to communicate with buyers at all levels of the buying process. Candidates should be able to demonstrate ability in negotiating, communicating, customer-facing, product knowledge, networking, listening & problem solving.

Principal accountabilities
• To carry out sales/account management activities in line with the Mid Market sales targets for 2008
• Maintain and develop close business relationships
• Exploit sales opportunities as appropriate
• Winning back of customer terminations
• Manage customer expectations/contract renewals

Ideally you will have relevant industry experience, utilities or a suitable telecoms background, and be looking for the next step in your career.

The excellent salary, dependent on the experience, skills and qualifications of the successful applicants, is coupled with outstanding career progression opportunities. In addition to salary there is a bonus up to 10% and a car allowance.
