- Electrical Power Plant Engineer - £34k - £54kpa + 15% Bonus – National
Our client is a dynamic, integrated energy company with 9000MW of coal, oil and gas fired power stations, along with wind, hydro and cogeneration plants. Our client’s base is one of the largest generation hubs in the UK. It employs Coal, Gas (CCGT) and Bio-fuels to generate electricity from the 3500MW of installed capacity.
Job Title - Electrical Power Plant Engineer
Salary - £34k - £54kpa

Location - National / UK
Your primary responsibilities will be to employ your comprehensive knowledge of electrical plant to ensure delivery of cost effective and robust electrical systems, along with the provision of expert advice during operations. The role will include writing technical specifications, undertaking tender/design reviews, general project engineering of electrical works, plant failure investigation and providing expert advice to operational colleagues. You will be providing a technical consultancy service.
The successful Electrical Power Plant Engineer should have expert knowledge and experience in the area of static electrical plant, including transformers, switchgear and cable systems. Experience working in power generation is desirable, but not essential. Candidates should have experience in electrical plant from LV to at least 132KV. Ideally educated to Degree level with practical and theoretical experience in Electrical Engineering.
They’re looking for a strong team player who is proactive in their approach to work and enjoys being challenged. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is customer focus. Applicants should be Chartered Engineers, or working towards Chartered status, with substantial knowledge and experience.
