Boiler Engineer - £30k - £47kpa + 15% bonus + car allowance – Swindon OR York
Our client is a dynamic, integrated energy company with 9000MW of coal, oil and gas fired power stations, along with wind, hydro and cogeneration plants. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Boiler Engineer

Job Title – Boiler Engineer
Salary – £30k - £47kpa

The successful candidate will provide cost effective, timely and technically appropriate engineering support in the operation, maintenance, management and enhancement of boiler plant pressure parts, structures, ancilliaries and pipework systems.

The main duties of this post include investigating boiler problems, and in particular pipework systems problems, on conventional and CCGT plant. Running small projects is a key feature of this role.

You will
* be a good mechanical engineer with some experience of industrial and/or utility boiler plant (skills, experience appropriate to obtaining C.Eng.)
* have experience of pipework and/or boiler design.
* need to be a good team player with good organisational and inter-personal skills, as you will need to deal with Station Engineers and Managers.
* have good analytical / problem solving skills
* possess a working familiarity with engineering codes,
* have a broad-based materials knowledge.
* need the necessary IT skills to carry out engineering analysis appropriate to the job, particularly analysis of plant data using spreadsheets and use of design codes.

The job will require site work and so the successful candidate should have a full driving licence and be prepared to travel within the UK and occasional trips abroad.

This position can be based either in Swindon or York, offers a competitive salary along with a 15% bonus and excellent benefit package.
