Project Manager required for one of the ‘big 6’ energy suppliers paying a basic to £47k.

Salary - £40k-£47k Basic

Our client is rapidly expanding its Offshore Projects team to meet the demands of building its next large offshore wind farm and is seeking to fill a number of positions for the construction phase.
The project will be built using a multi-contract strategy and will demand a high level of involvement in the detailed management of a wide range of contract works and the interfaces between them.
We are currently building our second offshore wind farm, and this will provide opportunities for new team members to gain hands-on experience of this exciting new technology, and also of the upcoming project, which will feature between 150 and 250 wind turbines with a maximum project capacity of 750 MW.
The current vacancies are for Project Managers to cover the construction phase of our Wind Farm project, including tender preparations and contract negotiations
Working in the Offshore Project team you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including:
Development of procurement and construction strategies
Management of contracts for construction of Meteorological Data Collection Masts, the carrying out of geotechnical and geophysical Site Investigations
Management of feasibility and design studies
Development of technical specifications, preparation of invitations to tender and assessment of tenders
Assessment of contractor competence
Project management of construction phase including health, safety and environmental compliance
Assessment and recording of project risks into the project Risk Register
Your Profile:
Your employment history may include working for oil and gas or power companies, construction companies, or general engineering consultancies. Experience of the marine environment and /or wind energy would be beneficial, but not essential.
Project management experience and good interpersonal skills
Experience in tender preparation and contract negotiations
Good knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
A minimum of 3 to 6 years experience of working on large construction projects in multi-disciplined teams
