A useful reference, if you need it, 30 May 2010 Posted by J. Thibaut

Well written, with the main points summarised at the end of every chapter for convenient reference. The book is split into two parts, the first focusing on "communication skills", the second addressing "presenting to win". Some of it might sound like common sense, but it does make you realise how much can go wrong in communication and it is helpful to be aware of that and how to avoid it.

Recommended for those who are uncertain about their communication abilities, but perhaps less useful for those comfortable speaking in different situations.

Looking into the Mirror, March 26, 2006 Posted by Fraser Crozier

If you ever wondered what it was thet you were doing wrong when you couldn't find a way to get your message across, then you will enjoy the short journey to self awareness. It's a funny thing to discover that all it takes to bridge the gap between people is being willing to take the first step yourself. Lead by example. Be prepared to answer the very questions you ask of others. This book leads you through the obvious, providing succint examples of "what if" etc. If you don't find a better way to communicate by reading this book, be prepared to admit you have a long way to go.
